SPECIAL NOTICE 12 FEBRUARY 2009 COUNTRY NAME AND CODE CHANGES
Within the aeronautical products effective 12 February 2009: The country of Serbia will change country code from RB to RI. Kosovo will become a country with KV as the country code.
15 JANUARY 2009 COUNTRY NAME AND CODE CHANGES
Within the aeronautical products effective 15 January 2009: The country of East Timor will change country name to Timor-Leste. The following islands have been removed from country code GP and area individual countries as follows: Saint Barthelemy - country code TB. Saint Martin - country code RN.
GENERAL - The DoD FLIP Planning document consists of one (1) General Planning Section, nine (9) Area Planning Sections. NOTE: AP/4 and 4A have been added), plus six (6) charts (FLIP AP/1B). Since it is designed for US military use, FLIP Planning contains aeronautical information that may not be applicable to other users of this product. The General Planning Section contains information that is applicable worldwide. It is supplemented by the information published in the nine Area Publication Sections. Refer to Chapter 3 for a more detailed description of the FLIP Planning Documents. REVISION CYCLE -General Planning (GP) is revised every 32 weeks. The cutoff and effective dates of GP and all Area Planning Sections are published in Chapter 11. AMENDMENTS - General Planning is amended by a scheduled Planning Change Notice (PCN) published 16 weeks after the effective date of General Planning, and by Urgent Change Notices (UCNs) as required. NEW OR MODIFIED DATA - A vertical line appearing in the margin identifies new or modified data. REVISIONS AND QUALITY REPORTS -Forward revisions and quality reports through the appropriate channels shown in General Planning Chapter 11.
