BEJ ALL Data Plates The engine data plate is on the left side of the main gearbox. The data plate shows this information about the engine: * Model number
* Date of manufacture
* Emissions compliance
* Installation arrangement
* Type certificate number
* EEC programing plug data.
The model number shows the engine configuration. EFFECTIVITY BEJ ALL The TAKE OFF RTG field shows the takeoff (TO) thrust (in pounds) for the specified engine. The TO thrust is the approved maximum thrust level at which the engine can operate. The thrust on the data plate is different than the thrust that Boeing uses, called Boeing equivalent thrust (BET). The thrust on the data plate is measured on a test stand and is equivalent to the static thrust at sea level. Boeing equivalent thrust (BET) is a calculated number, based on the thrust at 165 knots at sea level. BET is defined so that engines with the same BET will have approximately the same TO performance at sea level. The EMISSIONS field shows that the engine complies with emissions standards. The INSTL ARR field gives information about which airplane the engine is installed on. Type certificate is issued by the applicable regulatory agency.
