S 714-032 (5) If you replaced the bus tie breaker (BTB), do a test of the BTB.
(a) Make sure the ON lights on the EXT PWR 1 and 2 switches, on the P5 panel, are on.
(b) Push the ELEC switch on the EICAS display panel to get the synoptic page for the electrical system.
(c) Look for these indications: 1) The auxiliary power breakers 1 and 2 are open. 2) The external power contactors 1 and 2 are closed. 3) The bus tie breakers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are closed. 4) The split system breaker is open.
(d) Push the applicable bus tie breaker switch to isolation.
(e) Make sure the ISLN light on the applicable BUS TIE switch is on.
(f) Look for these indications: 1) The auxiliary power breakers 1 and 2 are open. 2) The external power contactors 1 and 2 are closed. 3) The applicable bus tie breaker 1, 2, 3, or 4 is open. 4) The split system breaker is open.
(g) Push the applicable bus tie breaker to auto.
(h) Make sure the ISLN lights on the BUS TIE 1, 2, 3 and 4 switches, on the P5 panel, are off.
(i) Look for these indications: 1) The auxiliary power breakers 1 and 2 are open. 2) The external power contactors 1 and 2 are closed. 3) The bus tie breakers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are closed. 4) The split system breaker is open.

S 714-033 (6) If you replaced the split system breaker (SSB), do a test of the SSB.
(a) Make sure the ON lights on the EXT PWR 1 and 2 switches, on the P5 panel, are on.
(b) Make sure the OPEN light adjacent to the split system breaker switch on the P461 panel is on.
(c) Push the ELEC switch on the EICAS display panel to get the synoptic page for the electrical system.
(d) Look for these indications: 1) The auxiliary power breakers 1 and 2 are open. 2) The external power contactors 1 and 2 are closed. 3) The bus tie breakers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are closed. 4) The split system breaker is open.
(e) Push the EXT PWR 2 switch to off.
(f) Make sure the AVAIL light on the EXT PWR 2 switch is on.
(g) Make sure the OPEN light for the split system breaker is off.
(h) Look for these indications: 1) Auxiliary power breaker 1 and 2 are open. 2) The external power contactor 1 is closed. 3) The external power contactor 2 is open. 4) The bus tie breakers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are closed. 5) The split system breaker is closed.
(i) Push the EXT PWR 2 switch to on.
(j) Make sure the ON lights on the EXT PWR 1 and 2 switches, on the P5 panel, are on.
(k) Make sure the OPEN light adjacent to the split system breaker switch on the P461 panel is on.
(l) Look for these indications: 1) Auxiliary power breaker 1 and 2 are open. 2) The external power contactors 1 and 2 are closed. 3) The bus tie breakers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are closed. 4) The split system breaker is open.
(7) Remove electrical power, if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).
